Le Mans with Steve McQueen
Days of Thunder doesnt deserve to be called a racing movie, imo.

LeMans with Steve McQueen. the perfect racing movie ever made. ninety 9% racing, a million% different. And with Mr. Cool because the lead. No CGI. Grand Prix. second perfect racing movie ever made. tremendous actual images of 60's F1. despite the indisputable fact that, if I had to take heed to Graham Hill talked about as "Bob" one better time, i could puke. heart Like A Wheel. the tale of Shirley Muldowney, drag racing. reliable stuff. Gumball Rally. Comedy, yet tremendous stuff with a Cobra, Ferrari Daytona, Porsche 911, and better.

I really liked The World's Fastest Indian. More about land speed records than racing, obviously, but so cool.

For realism and drama, definitely Days of Thunder. But Cars is awesome too! Lots of actual drivers and Darrell Waltrip and other great voices!
