No. There are hip hop songs about relationships like Mary J. Blige's Enough Cryin about ending a bad relationship, Chingy's Pullin' Me Back about a celebrity trying to maintain a relationship with his jealous girlfriend and although it gets bad, he can't seem to let her go, or even Jagged Edge's Good Luck Charm about how this guy has all this goodness brought into his life because of this woman. There are hip hop songs about holding onto your virginity like Lyfe Jennings S.E.X. in which he warns young girls to think before they let it go. Some hip hop songs are about dancing and having fun like Cherish's Do It To It. Hip hop is about a lot of things and pimps, hoes, cash, benjamins, chains, grills, and cars are some of those things but so are life, love, relationships, dancing, making decisions about sex, and growing up. Open up and listen to the music. You may find that some of it is not so bad after all. I'm in my mid thirties and some of my favorite songs are hip hop.

No sometimes love, racism, and babies are included in the lyrics. How sad for the artist limitation on creativity. In as much, I would like to hear some positive aspects of the ghetto life. Sure we all realize the hardship many face in that particular segment of our community; but there are many positive stories of individuals climbing out and making a huge impact on society. It really isn't all about: "To Live In Die In LA".

no some are about dancin and havin a good time and a bunch of other things(take Will Smith for example. that's like someone askin: are all rock songs about cuttin, bleedin, killin yourself, and death? the answer to that is no too. and that is more like rap okay even though rap isn't just about that either. ur just sayin that becuz those are the ones u hear. but find some others and you'll see that they're not just about that and some aren't about that at all.

Hip hop is about telling a story. Your talking about Clear Channel Radiio stations and what they let you hear. Find a underground music cd and listen to it.

Why yes. Should you have to ask? It is kinda like country music, all it is about is back roads, mom's, cheating people, and god, And rock is all about the hate of all kinds. If you don't like is find something that floats your boat. You don't have to listen to it.

yeah, pretty much.

just as most rock is about having hard times at home and family life, and going insane

and country is about how depressing or fun life can be as a cowboy.

its what the genre is about.
