Homemade Gold Jewelry Cleaner Recipe #1
What you will need:
A soft toothbrush or mushroom brush
A large glass bowl
2 to 3 cups of warm water
1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap
Soft cotton cloth
Mix the water and soap in the bowl. Place your gold pieces of jewelry in the mixture and let them soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Then take your soft brush and scrub away any remaining grime. When finished, thoroughly rinse the jewelry with warm water and polish dry with a soft cotton cloth.

For diamonds and other precious stones (NOT pearls, opals, jade and other semi-precious stones) the best cleaner is a fizzy denture cleaner like Efferdent. Just follow the directions on the box, place your jewelry in with the cleaner, let sit about 5 minutes, rinse and dry!
