There are many complex questions out there today. Do all answers have to be that complex as well?
I think for some we are thinking too hard and it may be easier.
Loving and caring could stop all wars, hunger and disease. Can't we just start there?

Thank you all for your answers!
To me, love is contagious. It starts with your neighbor next door. You don't have to go to the other side of the world. The person next door, and the person next to this person will finally reach the other side.
To me, love is hope. When we give up hope, then love will not spread. With all the wars, hatred, hunger, and disease, it is hard. The media brings all the bad news on to the front page. However, many good things are happening at the same time. The other day, on a New York subway, I dropped my wallet. I went to the lost and found and I found it! With my money in there and everything! Normally, you would think it's all but gone. Some nice person made my day that day and I shall never forget.
We have been to the moon and back, but we can't say hi to our neighbors anymore. We have larger houses but broken homes. We have more food but less nutrition. More technology but more worries.
I am not one to debate this, but I won't lose hope.

I don't believe that love by itself is enough to save the earth. Other things need to be included also, such as: more non-judgemental people; non-prejudiced individuals; more caring individuals and caring organizations; more money for funds; less greedy wealthy individuals and corporations and a whole lot of patience.

I wouldn't hold your breath that this will ever happen. For the world is filled with corruption and dishonesty and deceit and hate for other races, looks, religions, so on and so forth.

The only place you'll ever find peace and happiness and harmony and love is in Heaven. In heaven there will be no hungry, no deaths, no diseases, no suffering, no hate, no wars, no prejudices, no greedy people, no judgemental people and no tears. Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Father God and do you take the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and that He died on the cross for your sins? If you truly believe that, you will be rewarded greatly by God and will be in Heaven. That is the place to strive for.

Good luck and I hope I was some what helpful.

If the entire world can stop all forms of hate and make peace with each other at the EXACT same time, then maybe, but otherwise we stand no chance as long as there is more than one type of religion and as long as there are visibly different races. Give it a couple hundred years and we'll homogenize and be good, lol.

Try imagining a perfect world. Everyone would be the same..greeting each other..being friendly. It would be one boring world, not to say that won't be nice. But a world without fighting for something is not a world. Everyone has different opinions, not everyone loves, or cares. But that is a nice thought...
What we need to worry about is all the pollution and global warming.

well said , but tell me one thing . there has been enough damage done to the planet which now cannot be easily reversed. this approach could have been better if we were in the 1960's, when all the development started, igniting pollution. the immune system of the ozone layers are decreasing with increase in the amount of pollution as an example.

It could help but earth will never be saved. Its natrue and human nature for people to hate each other. But there is still love in the midst of hate. Have a life of love while you still live.

Can love save the earth? ...well if love motivates efforts to which make better inventions to repair current bad habbits... if love motivates us to be proactive...then yes.

The biggest difference is doing vs thinking. Love, is a thought, doing, is an action.
