see a doctor. There are many problems that can cause irregular periods, and it's simple to fix but only a doctor can decide what is right for you, your body and your lifestyle. Sometimes they put you on the pill for a couple of months just to fix your periods and 'train' your body to a regular rhythm of ovulation/menstruation. If there is something more serious going on, you need to find out sooner rather than later. Better safe than sorry. See an obgyn

This could be a lot of things. Are you very thin? You have to have a certain amount of body fat for your cycle to run like clockwork. Are you overweight or diabetic? That can mess with it too. You could be hypothyroid, or have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). The good news is both of those are easily treated with medication (pretty cheap stuff too, so don't worry about not being able to pay for it).
The really scary thing: it could be cancer or an infection run amok. Have you had any nasty discharge?
Don't stress; you said you haven't had sex, so chances are very good it's something that can be easily treated. But I absolutely would go to a doctor and be checked.
Good luck!

You need to see a gynecologist and possibly and endocrinologist. Start by seeing your family healthcare provider and asking for a referral to these specialists.
Extreme physical training
Low nutrition
Extreme stress
and many other things could be the cause of this as well as many physical health problems.
This is not something you should ignore. See your family doctor today.

Do you have an eating disorder? ie; anorexia or bulemia?? These often cause women to miss their periods.
If not, it is still not normal to have irregular periods. The lack of a period is call amenorrhea and is a health concern. At the very least, I would call your OB\GYN and ask if you should schedule an appt.

It is probably just an irregular period. A gynecologist can help diagnose the problem, and he/she will probably prescribe birth control pills to you. "The Pill," besides preventing pregnancy, also forces your period into a 28-day cycle.

Are you an athlete? If so, don't worry. Athlete's sometimes go without periods because of their extreme activity. If not, then you may have a hormone imbalance. Check with your doctor.

My daughter was irregular with her period too. The doctor had to put her on birth control pills to regulate it. They had to give her pilld to make her start her period first.

Girl, stop playing and go to the doctor. No, it's not normal. If you have a problem, your physician can detect it now and get you on track!
