If your serious about getting them used to you then I used this idea when I was training a horse that had never been handled. Go out into their pen and just sit there maybe take a book a chair etc. just something to do and they will eventually get curious enough to at least look at you. Let them run all they want all you do is just sit there for a couple hours a day and do this unitl they get used to you and come up close to you. But you cant EVER reach out and try to pet it otherwise youll have to start all over. You can pet it when it comes up to you and gets closer than arms lenght maybe about 6 inches from you.

Keep it in a very small pen without other goats near your house and handfeed it for a while before you set down it's bowl. Get a chair, bale of hay, etc and sit out that out in it's small pen by your house and read or something. Don't force it to be petted until it stops shying away. Be very gentle and eventually it will LOVE you!

Check out Clicker training.

Alot of this is also just patience and giving the animal time. Soon he'll learn where the treats come from
