Seeing as I'm 6'2", I tend to think anyone under 5'10" is short... lol
For a female though, I believe average is between 5'4" and 5'7" in the U.S., which would at least put you at the high end of average. Either way, I wouldn't worry about being "tall" unless you only find yourself attracted to people shorter than you, and find your height to be a problem. Personally, the smaller a woman is, the more I'm attracted to her, and tend to find myself with women who are between 5'1" and 5'4" just because.
If you want to feel taller though, I would suggest moving to Southern California, especially in the area of Disneyland. Every time I go down there, I'm always amazed that about 3/4 of the people there don't even come up to my shoulders... Even the men are mostly under 5'8"...lol

5'6 is quite tall for women. Infact most women are under 5'4. A few range between 5'4 - 5'8. And very few are taller than 5'8.
Or may be an average hieght if you want to go do modelling ;)

I am 5ft 6 also. I don't think it is tall or short for a girl just about right I would say... for a guy kind of short...I prefer guys only a few inches taller but being 5ft 6 I think I could choose someone taller and not feel short.

I'm 5'6. I like to think that's average height for a female although my ex-boyfriend says I'm short. This is coming from a guy who's 5'7.

5'6" is of average height. I'm 6 feet tall, and female, so I would be considered tall.

You would be quite a bit taller than I am. I am 5'1" so many, people are taller than I am including most of my friends kids when they are about 8 or 9 years old. You would definitely tower over me. Have a good night!!

No, 5'6" is average for a woman but short for a man. 5'9" is what is considered tall for a woman (I'm 5'9"), that's model status. About 6'2" is what is tall for a man. But, if you are 5'6" then that's just prefect, you're geogeous!!

I am 5'8, so to me 5'6 seems to be a perfect height..not too short and not too tall
