usually only one, a three-hour class. some are one and two hours, so you would need two or three of those classes, but I think language classes are usually three-hour classes
that's if you mean three credit hours

Do you want to take 3 different classes for an hour?
Do you want to take 1 class for three hours?

I would guess that most language classes in college are 3-4 hours each. (1 class, meeting 3 hours per week).

Check your college or university's on-line schedule for classes that fit your schedule. Some classes may meet all day- once a week to accommodate students who work all day.

For almost all subjects, 3 semester hours is one class. If you have a hard time with languages, see if there's another way to take the class. For instance, I do better reading and writing another language than speaking it and I was able to take one of my language classes as a reading class. The other possibility might be to take a less popular language so that they class is smaller and you get more help.

A three hour course means you go to class 1 hr a day for three days in the week, or 11/2 hr.for two days in the week. The Number of hours of a college course is not an accurate amount of time you actually spend on the course. Fou example, a chemistry lab course may be listed as 1 hr., but you may spend 3 hrs of actual lab work a week to get the 1 hr. credit.

Do you mean three hours time, or three credit hours?

Usually 1 class that meets for 50 minutes 3 times a week is a 3-credit hour class.

College classes are usually 1.5 hours but they meet twice a week
You can take a 3 hour class but have it meet only once a week
I think it also depends on the school, that particular class, and how many credits you get for taking that class
Hope that helps
