They are US citizens. Do not take the "Soveirinity" of the reservations quite literally-- it is mostly a ceremonial designation with limited legal power.

Native Americans can vote because like Guam and other US territories they are part of the country. Native Americans are allowed the right to govern themselves although that does not make them totally sovereign. Check out: http://thorpe.ou.edu/const.html. They have a lot of information regarding Native Americans

Native Americans were declared American citizens back about 1925 or so. As such they are perfectly entitled to vote in all elections.

They are citizens of this country, like the rest of us. The reservations are part of the US, not separate little countries.

I've got one better....

How can people come from another country, take over your society, murder your men, rape your wives and children and then force you to live in teeny weeny little reservations? Hmmm? That doesn't make sense.

hey we need to offer the native americans anything that they want. i dont see the harm in giving them the option if they did want to vote. if i were them i do everything possible to get a native american as head of state and then all hell should break loose.

Technically they are U.S citizens.

But, they are exempt to taxes and other garbage that we all have to do.

There was a couple acts passed years ago to give them land to compinsate what we took.

If you are a citizen no matter however it is, you can still vote.

Native Americans are US citizens even though they are members of a recognized tribe.

There are special arrangements - they have some self-rule but are not entirely sovereign or independent.

I believe they do vote.
