Never less than nine months... anything more than 2 years and you're doomed. Depending on your ages... if you guys are younger allow more time, if you are older you can push the clock a little.

There really is no magic number as long as there the relationship has grown into true love. Sometimes its love at first sight, other times love grows like a fungus, slowly and unnoticed until BAM... its all over the place.

Dude don't rush into a marrige with some girl just b/c you really like her. Theres absolutly no reason to get married so soon. The only reason anyone does that is b/c they are insecure and think marrige will hold the person down with them. Have a normal relationship with her for a while and see if you both actually get along well enough to live and be together for an extended period of time. Believe me it can sometimes seem like someone is the perfect person for you but they can quicly turn out not to be. Most women totally change the way they act after the first year of a relationship. They hook you then they think they've got you and don't have to try anymore. Don't fall for their tricks.

At least enough time to get to know each other. I would say about a year, and not married for a year after that. You need to find out all the nasty little quirks people have, and if you jump into marriage too quick you have a good chance of being another divorce statistic.

when you are ready there is no time some people know who is the one when they meet. Its all up to you but make sure what you feel is real. Sometimes Lust disguises as Love and you dont want 2 rush..But if you are sure she is the one then go for it. Me personally have been with my boyfriend tomorrow makes 8 months and i want to marry him already because he is the one for me and i know that. I love him so much i want to be the one to purpose. So it just depends on how reallyfeel. Its not a certain time limit though just follow your heart.

Ideally? 1 year to the date. Not a second before that. Mark it on your calendar. Don't forget. And buy her the most expensive ring available.
Hopefully she'll still remember who you are.

Considering that I don't believe it's possible to KNOW you want to marry someone after only one date, I'd say the minimum would be several months...and then an engagement of a fair length...

What's the rush?

He should give her time to have an NCIC check run and have her tax preparer dissect his last three years tax returns before proposing.

Each relationship is different. I know I honestly would have married my husband when I first met him! However, he made me wait almost a year.
