No it is not ...
You only have to look into a small childrens playground
to see that, all happy to play together regardless of colour
etc ... it is a learnt behaviour, learnt from parents and others
in society ...

Racism has been around since time began - once upon a time the germans thought they were the most superior race on the planet (and very nearly were). All humans use filter systems to judge others (like radar), if you have been brought up to think black is better than white, or vice versa then that is ingrained in your belief system, as for thinking one human is better than another, there is nothing wrong in that, after all I would always think I am better than a violent junkie who mugs old women, why shouldn't I. Not all men are equal, some have higher standards, morally & ethically, I believe these should be recognised, good human beings are my kind of people whatever their colour.

Racism is everywhere, but that doesn't make it right. I'll use jobs as an example: If it becomes a matter of choice, one should choose the best person for the job. Just because most of the people best suited for X job happen to be blue doesn't mean that X job should only have blue people. Look for the best possible candidate, regardless of race.
Race is just a side-feature that does nothing. (Despite the fact that it plays a role in the pre-conception everyone has.)

racism is not normal it is a disgusting thought that people think that they can be superior to another person because of their race.
we are all human with the same basic human needs to be loved, feed, clothed etc to think your above someone because of your race is because they think dealing with their problems is normal by saying for example 'I'm a white person and I'm superior than anyone who ain't white' and taking out their anger/ action on people of different races. it total bull sh!t the same applies to people of other races, if you don't know someone don't judge them because of their race, get to know them and judge them on the content of their personality.
Is it fair to say Tony Blair is more superior of the president of Nigeria? No they both have a equal role to their country, they have the same power and they are not more superior than the other, because ones white and the other is black does the rule change? I believe not.
I believe society is changing and is not taking in the superiority crap if you compare to what it was like 50 years ago there are A LOT of changes. Hope this answers your question. xx

Racism is a big word. For years the Irish and Scots were the butt of jokes. They in return joked about the British. Welsh jokes were accepted as part of your nationality. It is only interference by the PC brigade, human rights and this labour mob that have caused problems. If your demean a another race or person that is wrong. I have worked with Indians who mock Pakistanis all day long, and refused to employ them. Superior is being able to accept there are many colours and races make up this planet. To joke in good faith is fine. To joke to hurt is wrong.

Yes, racism is widespread and so therefore normal. However, you can't compare cars to human beings. Humans come from a common ancestor. Only the colour of our skin is different.

Racism used to be considered normal when i was a kid ,we used to watch comedy on the tv (love thy neighbour) and other racist programes aimed at other cultures and have a good laugh. We used to watch the klu klux klan on the news, skinheads with thier natzi beliefs .We can all condem it but it's going to carry on all over the world,i've suffered racism but i also gave it all those years ago.I don't consider myself a racist it was bred into us years ago and seemed a normal part of our lives but not anymore i think it's totally wrong nowadays

If you mean common, as in widespread then racism is normal.
mercedes really are better than metros (by some measures)
metros probably get better gas mileage, are cheaper and fit in smaller parking spots...
see, better is a matter of perspective...

Racism is created when one culture feels threatened by another. It is in our instinct, to challenge any threats .We are a technologically advanced society but evolution takes much longer to move on than science

Because it IS wrong to think that just because your skin color is different, you are better than someone else.
A mercedez is better than a lada because it has a better engine, better engineering, better interior, etc.
But a Black person is only different from a White person because of the difference in color of skin - - - skin color is NOT a quality, it is a characteristic.
Good luck.
