If there is something about you that you are uncomfortable with, and know you'll feel better about yourself if it were different, and it can be changed rather easily, DO IT! Don't listen to those people who say "be happy with what you have" blah-blah-blah etc. Let me tell you from experience, if you are unhappy with your nose, and it can be changed, change it; it will improve your self-confidence dramatically, hence affecting everything you do. you'd be suprised how how we see ourselves and feel about ourselves effects everything we do / perform / carry ourselves, etc. You will gain confidence in everything you do (not to mention get more dates!) Go for it! The surgery is nothing, afterwards, you'll be sore but you will have pain meds, and it goes away in 2 days. The swelling goes down right away, it's over before you know it and you'll reap the benefits and rewards soon after-you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner!
ps- don't worry about what that idiot said either, you won't look like M. Jackson Good luck!

I used to work for a plastic surgeon and can tell you that if you have a good doctor a rhinoplasty can give you a great new look. Whether or not to have surgery is purely a personal choice, e-mail me if you live in AZ.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. If you have been unhappy with your nose, or have an old break that has caused a "bump"...go for it. Alot of time insurance can cover it. I had it done about 5 years ago...and it's been great.

If you are embarrassed by your nose and go into it realizing that it's not going to radically change your life, just your looks (and give you more confidence), then go ahead and do it.
Had a friend who did it years ago and she was never sorry.

Why change what your parents gave you. If someone does not like the way you look, tell them to get over it.

i think it's shallow and gross. unless your nose is crushed and mangled in a car crash or something, it's unreasonable.
