Personally, I'd recommend redesigning your web site. It's pretty safe to design a site at 760 pixels wide so it will work on resolutions of 800x600 and higher. Any larger than that and you'll be alienating a portion of your site visitors. I don't think it'll be too long before the standard becomes 1024x768, but we haven't gotten there yet.
