What do you think makes people want to smoke when drinking? I know I've done it a few times, and I'm vehemently against smoking!

Both my best friend and my boyfriend have lit up when drinking... and they never smoke otherwise!

Okay if you're just going to say "I don't smoke EVER it's bad!!!" well, then why bother answering. Smoking being bad for your health and the health of those around you is a commonly known fact. My question is NOT "Hey should you smoke!!" its why do people get the urge to smoke a cigarette when drinking, which is extremely common, at least among people I know.
Shall we all get off our high horses?

I just smoke all the time... but I do get an extra urge when I drink... It is because alcohol intensifies the feeling nicotine gives you and vice-versa...

I only drink about twice a year and never smoke but on those 2 occasions I smoke like chimney and wake up the next morning with a very sore throat but each time I do it again alcohol and ciggerettes go to together like peanut butter and jelly

I'm pretty boring; I don't smoke or drink. I guess it's just a habit to smoke and drink. See, boring answer, too.

I ised to smoke three packs a day. But then I gave up. I used to drink too much. I've stopped that, too.

I think a lot of people smoke when they are in a group with people who smoke. they feel they need to also or its nervous tension. guys are bad about dipping in a group. talking and spitting its like they cant talk unless they are spitting
