I grew up there! My home town. What do you want to know!!! It is a beautiful city, yes small compared to others, but pretty. It is nice because you have the water real close to you, Boston is only 1 1/2 hours away. You have the white Mountains close by. The city itself has wonderful history. The Old Port section has great fun shops and food and taverns. It is a slower way of life, but it offers great restaurants....The best Seafood.
Great schools, and you can't beat the Coast!.Bar Harbor, Boothbay Harbor, Rockland, Acadia National Park, and the greatest Lakes anywhere. You have everything nearby, if you want to pick up the pace...(Boston) Good Luck! And yes be prepared for a cold winter...(I love them), but with that you get amazing Autumns, the fall colors and the best time to go to all the fairs and mountains.
