The main guitar I play is my BC Rich Virgin. I think BC Rich are probably my favourite guitar manufacturer. This is my third and they've all been amazing.
It's an awesome guitar! I've fitted a DimeBucker bridge pickup and the tone is amazing. I'm now looking to upgrade the neck pickup to give a more versatile sound.
I tend to use standard tuning as I play a lot of shred and thrash metal but I sometimes use drop D, drop C or even drop B (but the last two usually mean I need to change the strings to a heavier guage)
In my band we play mostly death/black metal but at home I'm into playing thrash/speed/power metal.
I play some blues as well, mostly Gary Moore stuff.
If I was to sum up my style that I've developed over the past 8 years of playing it'd be 'Thrashy Speedy Bluesy Death Metal with lots of pinch harmonics'

My favorite guitar is the one I own. It's nothing too fancy- a Jay Turser acoustic. It has a gorgeous pearl vine inlay on the fretboard. The back and sides are blond quilted maple, which is just beautiful. It also has a nice full sound.
My dream guitar though is a Gibson Hummingbird. Maybe one day I'll own one.
I'd also like to have a Gibson Les Paul Custom and a Fender Nashville Telecaster.
I like to play anything from bluegrass to country to acoustic zeppelin and the who. I usually only play in regular tuning, it suits my voice fine.

I like any kind of Guitar. Electric is awesome but so is acoustic. I got an acoustic guitar for cristmas and I've strummed on it a little. I haven't learned anything yet, but it's only because I haven't actually sat down and tried to. What I play best would have to be the Iron Man tune... but that's the only thing I can play, so of course it's what I play best.

My favorite is/was one that I built myself. It has an explorer style body with a solid rosewood neck (not a rosewood fret board laminated onto a maple back, a solid rosewood neck!). I picked the explorer body because it was large enough so that I could hollow out a cavity in the back that was big enough to put some electronics. I ripped the guts out of a delay, a chorus, and a "tube screamer" and put them into the guitar body. It was very nice to free myself from having to run back to a particular spot to stomp on a pedal every time I wanted to change the sound. It was also nice because it saved floor space in smaller venues.
EDIT:
Oops... forgot to say that I played in various punk and straight ahead rock-n-roll bands during the 80's and early 90's

i've had a mexican strat for years. i had to replace the springs a while back because of some over-zealous whammy bar action, but other than that it has held up great and still sounds good. it's a great value for the price.
um, i mostly play acoustic on my martin, so no drop C thrashing for me. I'm okay with standard tuning, but i like to tune each string down a whole step.
i like finger picking and playing the blues.

I like Guilds, the CO-1 is a very nice acoustic I reckon, I usually play fingerstyle in a standard tuning but I do play some nick drake now and then and its a nightmare, he uses a lot of open tunings the weirdest of which is a BEBEBE, string snapper! :)
