obviously without a clear grasp of fact?
I hear his supporters still think Saddam/Iraq had something to do with 9-11 (which they did not - Osama hates Saddam as much as we do if not more).
Is being charmed by lying psychopaths and a desire to be utterly misled and lied to a pre-requisite to being a Republican?

Not that there is any possible reason anyone would want to align themselves with that party of abysmal failure anymore (unless you of course fit into the prior category of the willingly stupid/misled/ignorant)

Also,
Can anyone explain why the Republican party hates America so much? Such widespread deceit and ignorance is flat-out only to the detriment of the country.

I think the support of Bush by his party is a facade. They are trying to save face so they won't be told, "I told you so". Many in his party and even in his cabinet have turned against him over the war in Iraq issue, and the way the economy has sunk to an all-time low. We have a deficit of trillions of dollars. Both the Social Security and Medicare funds are slowly being eaten away by foolish spending of these funds for other purposes; mainly letting illegal immigrants draw from these funds that the elderly personnae have worked all their lives for.

I have always had respect for the President of the United States, but since Bush, for whom I didn't vote for in either presidential election, I've been totally disillusioned toward this high office.

There was a lot of "hue and cry" over Bill Clinton's indiscretions with Monica Lewinsky. However, the country was prosperous, and there was no war. For the first time in 30 years, the U.S. budget was in the black. And I think Bill had a lot of charisma. I am a Democrat, but I don't always vote a straight ticket. I vote for the person, not the party.

I don't think the Republican party hates America. But they are definitely for the rich -- always has been that way. In my own personal experience, I have always prospered under a Democratic administration, and had to tighten my belt under the Republican regimes.

The solution, in my humble opinion, is do away with the two-party system. It's antiquated and doesn't serve any useful purpose except for mud slinging. Who decrees that the presidential candidate has to belong to one party or another. Just vote for the person most qualified to do the job, and whose experience and character speaks for itself.

I can't help it if the media gets confused and mis-informs the people. Bush has never stated that Iraq was directly involved with 9/11.

However, there were contacts between OBL and high officials in the Iraqi government both before and after 9/11.

Bush did state that Iraq was part of the terror network and that was only one of several reasons. The biggest one was the Saddam violated the cease fire agreements dozens of times.

What is left of Bush supporters represents the far right, ultra religious zealots that are totally brainwashed and who believe Bush will bring them to the Apocalypse, and the rapture. That group will never change... that 25% will always support Bush right or wrong.

Its a good thing I know alot of republicans who are planning on voting democrat.... AMEN...

What you are dealing with here is a Bush supporter who have got to be the most mentally diminished of the populace. They actually turned their head and voted for him twice knowing that he was a coke snorting, alcoholic, with no brain. I guess many of his supporters are the same way. Must be as far as I can tell from their questions, and answers here.

Your question is so loaded that it shouldn't even get an answer from those you oppose.

He is supported because the majority of his supporters believe he did the right thing and still does. But that support is waning.
