I've recently purchased a bottle of pure lavander essential oil since people been telling me that they're good for insomia. Is it okay if I add a few drops of essential oil on the pillow before I go to bed?

It's good to put some in your bath water and soak for a bit. The oils might stain your pillow cases. Try putting a little on the back of your neck.

yes you can do it - if you don't mind having your pillow smell like lavander all the time. Better yet, just use it during bath or shower. for bathing, just add a few drops of essential oil to the water. or you may wait after shower, then add a few drops of essential oil to a damp clothe and gently massage your body with it. hope this help.

yes, it's okay to use a few drops, though i would recommend an atomizer (those bottles with the bulbs for spraying). Don't use to much of it; pure oils can cause burns on the skin. The best way to use it would be to add it to a carrier lotion, like sweet almond or jojoba. I'm a massage therapist and have used this method several times. aromatherapy is awesome!

You can dilute it in almond oil for massage or application to skin, and you can add a few drops of pure essential oil to bathwater. You can also use almond oil to mix it in a vaporizer and spritz it on your sheets or pillow.
