Do you play DVD's in your PS2? Playing DVD's can burn out the electronic eye inside the ps2. So can leaving the game console on the pause menu for long periods of inactivity. This will start gradually (usually) if that's the case, but will progress. My current PS2 is doing the same thing and is to the point where it will only load/play certain games, most of the time I don't even get the 'disk read error' anymore. Also, I noticed that most games with a blue tinted back have problems playing period. Follow the other advice of cleaning the machine/game. What's funny about this (if you're using DVD's, that is) is the Owners manual states that by using a DVD in the PS2 the warrenty is void...

There are a couple of things that might help, if you go out and get one of those disc cleaners for the disc driver that might help, although the problem may just be the disc itself. Some disc's are manufactured wrong, I suggest trying to take it back (if you bought it recently) and asking for an exchange. Also it might help if you get some canned air and used that on the system.

Disk learn is refering to the Hard Drive. Fixing it is dependent upon a couple of matters. If the difficult force has long gone dangerous you are going to surely must substitute it. Depending how techy you're you'll dive into the journey your self or take it to a regional fix retailer to have it constant. Your running procedure could have corrupted. In the case of Windows XP you'll insert your CD's that got here together with your computer and routinely do a REPAIR while induced. If this fails you can also must reinstall the running procedure thoroughly. Again this all is dependent upon how laptop savy you're/are feeling :). If your now not at ease with reinstallation or taking the laptop aside i could tremendously advocate in opposition to it. You can get your self into a few critical drawback. I'd be greater than inclined to complicated at the predicament if you'll comprise mannequin of the pocket book, the running procedure, ect. Are you getting some other blunders messages?

Throw it in the trash....jk. I had the same problem. It is a problem with the laser. I would send it back to Sony.
Also how old is your console? The earlier consoles actually had a lawsuit involving discs not playing. I know I got a couple games scratched from letting it spin over and over trying to get it to play. I called Sony, told them the problem, then I shipped it out and they fixed it for free. I just had to pay the shipping price, which wasn't too bad.
