If so, read this and explain to me how this is good for the working class.

A provision in GOP-written minimum wage legislation passed by the House and under consideration this week by the Senate would deal a pay cut of $3 or more an hour to thousands of waiters, bellhops and hairdressers.

Why, you may ask? Because they recieve tip money. According to the GOP, you the customer should pay these employees, not their employer. Sounds like another GOP "protect the business owner" tactic to me.

What's the point? It is common knowledge that people in those professions do not get a pay check. We are supposed to tip them for providing a service. That is the way it has been done for years. If we didn't tip them, then the cost of the service would be higher. Food would go up 20% in cost to compensate for the tip, haircuts would go up 15% to compensate for the tip, and hotel stays would go up 15% to compensate for the tip. Either way, we are going to pay for these services.

I just read the article. I have been working for the last 13 years in restaurants, and have been getting paid $2.13 and hour + tips. These people are getting paid their state's minimum wage and are complaining? F*CK them, they'll get over it. You do understand that a good bartender, server, or hairdresser can make an easy $70,000 a year. They have no reason to be bitching about losing their hourly pay. Again, F*CK them!!!

you need to post the document, not just say "read this paragraph i just wrote" i could be wrong, but aren't waitresses paid about 3 dollars and some change now? i think I'm right, but i could be wrong. the minimum wage for waitresses and tipped employees is much lower already.
