I go into Initial Settings and I go under Date and Time, but all I see under there is Auto Update on and off. Is there something wrong? Actually it is not my phone, it is my friend's phone and I guess she does not know how to change it. Can someone help me.

Except not. You can change the time on the phone, just go to the Settings screen, then "Initial Setup", then "Date & Time", and then change the Auto-update thing to no or whatever the negative option is and then you can manually enter it. By default, it will sync its time with your carrier's servers.

you usually cant change the time on most phones. phone are just like cxable boxes, the company controls the time, via satelite. call your service provider and tell them you are having trouble with the time setting on your phone. they can troubleshoot that for you. Have you tried removing the batery and reinstalling?
