Someone else said you can't force feelings; another advised common interests. Keeping those points in mind, why not just approach him in a friendly manner? Why not ask if he wants to walk dogs together, for example? Most animal shelters are thrilled to have someone help with dog-walking. Or sports. Or baking cookies together. You'd be surprised how many boys love to cook and bake. All those male chefs started as boys who appreciated food. And it is absolutely true that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Don't ever doubt it!
I know it's hard when you want a boyfriend, but staring with this boy as your friend is great because you can never have too many friends, right?

I aint about to grill u on da age thang, so this is wut u do. First of all do u look older than 11 or 12, and if u do then that's a +. Don't try to hard jus kinda of let things fall into place. Make sure ur around him a lot and make sure he sees u. Don't B all up in his face or nuttin like dat cuz dat can get annoyin. Jus laugh and giggle around him 2 get his attention. Sooner or later he'll notice u and will start 2 like u. *If u look ya age then back down, don't kno body want somebody dat look like they little brother or sisters friend ya kno.*

8th grade vs. 6th grade is a big maturity difference he is getting ready to go to high school in a year or less and you just got out of elementry school.. chances are pretty slim.. unless you give it up and that is all he wants from you.. but if you have any self esteem you won't do that..

there's a big difference between 6th grade and 8th grade,but i had 1 friend who dated an 8th grader girl.but it's up 2 u.

You cant make somebody like you. You should find out if he likes you and if he doesnt then move on especially if it is just because you are in the 6th grade because that is stupid and he wouldnt be worth it

Sweety you cant make this boy LIKE you.
He has free will he will only like who he wants too.
Be yourself and be kind and everything will work out.
If he doesnt become your boyfriend he might be a good friend.
Try that first.
Dont worry there are a million boys out there who will want to be a friend/boyfriend.

Darling for one thing he is too old for you. His mind is on high school and high school girls. And besides you are too young to be even worrying about boys. School is getting ready to start focus your mind on getting a good education and worrying about boys when you are old enough to be thinking about that.

You can't. also a boy older than you is going to have physical needs starting that you will not, or better yet should not be willing to provide.
What you need to do is "like, like" someone your own F'n age.
