If you only have one restaurant in town, and you're not planning to expand too far geographically, I'd suggest you stake out a claim of people in the area preferring you over others. Ex. "Springfield's Favorite Chicken Place." You won't have to back up such a statement legally (after all it's just a slogan, right?). And the more you use it in advertising, menus, in-store posters, take-out bags, aprons, etc., the more people will come to accept it as a bona-fide claim. This type of motto works even better if you can design a pseudo-award graphic to go with it. Good luck with your business!
