Does anyone know if you have a child that is disabled and will not be able to provide for themselves once turning 18 if you can request the father to have to continue to pay child support for that child untill they become capable of financially supporting themselves?

I have that situation and my attorney tells me that is possible; but in my case there's no point cuz the bum won't pay now when she's 13 how could I possibly expect him to pay later!

i believe it depends on the state in which your order is held. however, if you have a disabled child, support can be extended. best bet is to speak to your local child support office.

You must talk to the child services in your city or area.
They can guide you where you can find that info.
Good luck
