yeah, you can use the same bedding. the cost really depends on the size cage you want. i got a rabbit cage a few months ago & it was $60 - a starter cage, so it came with the water bottle and food dish. but anyother accessories you want to buy - like a little house for the little guy to hide under, would probably run from $10-15. i don't remember how much the food costs, but i don't think it's more then $10 - so really expect to pay around $100.

You can use the same bedding for hamsters and guinea pigs, but you should know that pine and cedar litters are dangerous to both because they can cause lung problems and liver disease because of the oils in it. Aspen bedding and carefresh are fine. A good guinea pig cage will cost about 30 dollars. Make sure you get a large enough one. You should also get it a litter box made for small animals and then you won't have to clean the entire cage as often.

The purchase price of the guinea pig is nothing. Budget in not only proper caging & food, but also set aside money should he need a vet.

The bedding should be OK. If it has chlorophyll in it, it might stain the guinea pigs feet green though. I would not use Cedar type bedding though.

It depends on what sort of bedding you are using. Aspen and carefresh (I use a 50/50 mix of both) are the best in both cases as they will not cause the allergic reactions that things like cedar can.

you can use wood chips for most small animals as long as its not ceadar......and yes you can use the bedding you have but the guinea pig will need something to chew on.

Yes, you may use the same bedding material for both animals. you mightwant to wash the sheets prior to reuse, but that is up to you.
