That is impossible!!! The host (Germany) of the FIFA world Cup 2006 was the best team. Iran did good, but Germany was the best.

ITALIA FOREVER! I really have no idea who was the best; I don't follow soccer but I was in Rome during the world cup and I've never seen the city so excited. It was so awesome!
