This is kinda silly, I guess...but I still had to ask.I was @ the grocery store in the express lane today....the cashier looked to be all of about 12 yrs old. LOL!! (I must be getting old, cuz kids these days are all reminding me of Doogie Howser!).The poor thing looked overwhelmed, & a bit scared. It must have been like her first time going solo, cuz there was a supervisor hovering around, watching her like a hawk.Anyway, there were 3 people ahead of me. Two of them were pretty OK---I mean, not especially mean, OR nice. But one woman was just SO rude!! She started actually yelling @ this girl, & calling her names, etc. The girl started to cry, then got chastised by the hovering supervisor---in front of all of us!!--for being unprofessional!! I was the next person in line, & I made it a point to tell her that she was doing a great job, & to just relax & not let rotten people rule her day. She smiled. :-) I feel good, knowing I helped someone else feel better.
Your stories...??

I was at the casinos about a month ago and went into the poker room to play cards. I went up to the cashier to get some poker chips. I gave the ladie 100 dollars for some chis. She turned around and gave me the chips along with the huindred dollars that I just gave her. She then turned around and went back to doing her work. I sat there for what seemed like an hour, probley about 10 seconds though. I just sat there thinking mmmm I could go cash these in and get a 100 bucks for free, it's a casino they make billions each year what will this hurt. But being the good person that I am I called the ladie back over to me and explained what she just did. At first she seemed baffled that I would actually do that, she then began to tell me how if I had not have given that back then she would have had to pay the 100 dollars at the end of her shift. She said they have to make up the difference if there drawer is off. It made me feel good about myself knowing that I just saved that woman 100 bucks for an honest mistake that she made.

I was not able to do anything like that so far today.
So maybe I will just be nice to you and hope that your day is a little better because of it.
Smile and be proud of what you did. It was kind.
I on the other hand would have went off on that idiot customer and made a big scene on how they were lower than whale sh*t on the ocean floor. Then I would have went off on that manager to.and then I would have been kind to the girl.
People tell me I am a as*hole, but I just cant stand certain types of people and I let them know it.

I alway try to be nice to people working in the service industry.......they are making 6 bucks and hour for crying out loud....give em a break! This morning I went to get coffee from my favorite coffee place and I got there right when they open at 6am, but no one was there so I waited for 10 or fifteen minutes, just when I was leaving the kid who was supposed to be there came flying in....poor thing over slept...I told him not to worry about it..it happens to us all.

Yesterday was my friend's birthday and I brought her balloons and a card and some items from Bath & Body Works. I made a big deal about her birthday because she's been a bit depressed lately since her boyfriend just left for the Navy two weeks ago. She thanked me and smiled and I hope I made her feel special because she's very special to me.

Today I was in the coffee shop and a lady was paying for her drink with her debit card. It didn't go through (I don't know why), they tried again, it still didn't work. She looked very embarrassed and truly upset that she couldn't have her coffee. I was waiting for my tea to be made so I had her coffee added to my bill. She was truly truly grateful and smiled her way out of the shop. Queue warm feeling in side.

On a side note. When the mood takes me. I like to buy a few chocolate bars and hand them out to random people as I see fit. Generally cheers them up after a bad day :)

I have always wanted to overtip majorly and was able to recently. I was at pizza hut with my twin sister I haven't seen in two years and we were being funny giving him a hard time (waiter). He was joking with us alot so we were asking for tape to close the pizza box better to go and I told my sister I would double the tip if she asked. She did and so I pulled out all of my dollar bills and ended up giving him a 9$ tip. The bill was only like 20$ so it felt good to give such a big tip.

Good for you...
as for me, I just wrote, 2 seconds ago, an answer on this Yahoo stuff, using my medical and psychiatrical experience, plus some common sense, and I hope it made that person see a way out of his problem. (It feels good, considering also that I live thousands of miles away, and it was free, I don't charge any fee on the internet HA!)
Thanks for your question, and to know there are people like you who care for others.

Hmmm, well I answered a Yahoo Answer nicely, so I think that may make someone's life a little better.

Also, if I am walking past someone in a store parking lot who is unloading their cart into their car, I offer to take the cart to the store for them.

And, good for you. You did a great thing for her.

Well, first of all I love your story, that's cool! As for me, well, myself and a very good friend of mine have recently started doing a bible study together, just the two of us, because we're both struggling spiritually with complete trust and faith, so we're trying to build each other up in God and understand Him together. So that's something I'm doing. God bless!
