You are better off waiting the next 2 months. Clomid can probably be purchased without a prescription in a semi-legal pharmacy. But this is a medication you want to get prescribed. Are you sure your infertility is due to anovulation? If its due to any of the other hundreds of causes, Clomid will be of little help. Clomid prescriptions are highly individualized, depending on the length of your cycle and response to the medication. You need a doctor to decide this for you. Clomid is also a medication that needs to be monitored. You may get ovarian overstimulation, which could be painful and may even cause you to be hospitalized.

I know that the past 10 months have seemed like an eternity. The next two months to wait for the one year threshold is agonizing. (Trust me, try 72 months) If you have endured the past 10 months, you can endure the next 2. It is better to get pregnant safely than to get pregnant quickly.

Clomid is by prescription only for people who are not ovulating or not ovulating regularly. Any fertility drug can cause serious side effects and needs to be monitored closely. You would need a fertility evaluation to know what is wrong before you even think about clomid. You could have a hormonal imbalance, blocked tubes or your partner could have a low sperm count. If you have to wait a few more months, start looking for a reputable infertility doctor and make an appointment. They usually take 6-8 weeks to get. Good luck!

I agree with the others. My insurance does not cover Clomid and it is only $30 which is not that bad but it's only for 5 pills.

It is defiantly better to get them prescribed because there are so many different doses and you need to start it and stop it on a certain date which the doctor will inform you of. Other wise, it will do no good to you. Yes, you can get it online like other drugs, but please don't if you really want to conceive. I'm on it right now and the cost is not too significant

Yes, clomid is prescription only. And they are only for people who don't ovulate--if you are having cycles and ovulating then it won't help and may actually hurt your chances.

yes you can only get them through your doctor as you HAVE to be monitored while on them to make sure they are working & making sure you are ovulating while on the pill.
