It is amazing how many hezbollah "strongholds" there are in Lebanon. Where are the "captured Hezbollah" from all the places that have been targeted. So much for fighting for our democratic rights. I only see women and children? Are they just in the way.

The civilian population had to be removed from southern Lebanon because that is the area controlled by Hezbollah. Hezbollah is not a branch of the Lebanese military but for some unknown reason, neither the Lebanese military or government has ever tried to remove this terrorist group from the south. Many times "innocent civilians" allow the group to store weapons (rockets) in their homes, or fire the rockets from their rooftops into Israel. These rockets fall into city areas in Israel and are rarely targeting a viable military target, often landing on someones house or in a field nearby as there is no way to easily control where these rockets land. The message sent by Israeli Defense Forces to the entire population of Lebanon was clear. Storing these rockets in your house, or firing these rockets from your property makes your home a viable military target, and "innocent civilians" would no longer be civilians if they commit an act of agression against Israel, they become the enemy. The muslim people there are putting their entire family at risk, would you store weapons in your home where your children live if you knew doing so may turn your home into a target? Probably not, they do. In war many truly innocent people are killed. However the Israelis do all they can to prevent this, but they can't allow there citizens to live in fear for their lives because of fanatical muslims hell-bent on killing every Israeli; men women and children. A good question to ask here is why doesn't the Lebanese Government rid their country of this lunatical group of crazies who started a war without fully thinking through the consequences, they had many years to do this. I suppose it's too late now, now the Lebanese population must suffer for the careless attitude of their government.

No, it suggests that they have tried to limit the civilian casualties by warning them to get out.
No other army in the world has dropped fliers to warn the population.
However, Hezbollah stops them leaving the area because they need them as human shields. They don't wear uniforms so they can hide in among the true civilians.
As the UN said, truly cowardly.

I would like to point out that only three countries(including the US) in the world out of 200+ consider Hezbollah to be a terrorist organization. The other 195+ countries do not.

I think maybe he meant that the civilians were being used as a human shield and that was what he meant by support.

it means that the civilians there have been warned to move over and over....
Israel tells them where they are going to strike next, unlike Hizbollah that just launches rockets at heavily populated areas

That's like saying: since the people who were fleeing a burning building were all wet from the firemen's hoses...they must've been targetted by those evil firemen!!

Ahh, no. It does not. It means they need to be moved.
Israel does not want to eliminate the Lebanese.
