I like to take old clothes and make new clothes from it. Can you sew at all? Take a few old shirts and sew them to make a cool skirt. Can't sew? Cutt off some old jeans and make some capris. Get a few scarves in fun patterns to wear as belts, in your hair, or to tie around your hips. If one is big enough, tie it and wear it as a top over a fitted tank. There's so much you can do! IM me and I'll help you out.

First of all, don't be afraid to experiment. Honestly, if you wore a trashbag to school with the right accessories and the right amount of confidence, you'd rock it. The key is to totally own what you're wearing.

Layer things, especially things that don't exactly go together.

Wear accessories - an awesome belt, earrings, necklace, bracelets... you can use anything for these items. A bracelent can be a piece of ribbon with a shell on it tied around your wrist.

Don't be afraid to step out of the box. I love wearing a pair of dressy heels with jeans or capri's - it looks awesome.

Take what you have and be creative.

go to forever 21 or charlotte russe or wet seal and buy a lot of cute accessories...you can buy big wide belts in all colors, colorful plastic jewelry, fun purses, some scarves, even some red or patent leather shoes will spice up a boring outfit. the key is to wear simpler clothes and more exciting accessories...its much easier to buy new accessories each season than a whole new wardrobe!

One word, hon: Accessories!!! Whether they are brooches, skinny scarves, belts, hats, or necklaces, they always do the trick. Also, you could cut one of your least favorite jeans into jean shorts. You could dye a t-shirt that looks good on you, or cut it up to be a cute tank top. You could also play around with other stuff. Borrow one of your dad's ties if he doesn't mind. Menswear is soooooooooooooooooooo awesome. Another thing you could do is, if you or your mom has one, use a sash. They are super versatile. You could wear them as belts or headbands. I like to wear the sash around my waist and tie it in a cute bow. It girlifies any outfit. Another thing you can do if it's not too hot where you live is layer.

Try this site. It's awesome. www.girlprops.com

Good Luck!!!

add jewelry to your look- it's all about the accessories! different shoes- shoes can be yoru best friend! and don't be afraid to mix and match! you may find some great looks! another thing you can do is change the look of your outfit... add lace or funky material around the bottom of skirts and maybe even shorts cut off jeans and skirts to make mini's and also capri's.
ask other friends, relatives, siblings, etc... if they have any old clothes that you could try.

jewelery - if you dont have any then you can get some beads and string and make one of those long funky necklaces that are so in.....accesories, cute shoes, cute hairstyle - wear it down, up, do something different once in a while. makeup...etc
you can make some holes in some old jeans (cut a little whole then tear with hand...), belts....maybe wear a short dress/tunic with a belt and some jeans under or somethin

ok I know how you feel, ok, well maybe you can't get new out fits, but could you coordinate your out fits with matching purses, belts, hair clips? Make your nail polish match something else you wearing. Buy a few old t-shirts from the thrift store and cut them up to be cute. wear leggings under skirts that make the skirt pop!
match outfits for school colors. wear pins on everything, and long necklaces as belts. wear scarves n your hair as a new hair piece. wear a normal, shirt and wear a bright colored one under it and let it stick out form the bottom. wear a black slip a bit longer than your skirt to peek out the bottom.stack on the braclets.

hope that helps
ally!

belts do a great job and try to wear simple contrasting colors, they are perfect spicing up to the style. and belts are not too over the top for school. You can also try nice cute scarfs tht just lift up the edge, and they're summery too, not only wintery. Gluck
