If the study of Kunoichijutsu is something that you enjoy and excel at then you shouldn't quit because of what others say. They are obviously uninformed about the martial art. If you explained to them what the study actually is about and why you do it, just like you did here, it should help.
There really isn't anything "bad" about it. You're studying the martial arts just like anyone else who might be studying karate or taekwando (I'm a girl and I studied taekwando). In fact I'm sure there are a lot of girls who participate in the martial arts! When those people make fun of you, stand up for yourself and keep on living your life the way you want to.
Personally I think what you're doing is cool and I wish they had it around here! :)
I hope that helps!

Ayame-chin,

no offense intended...but where or what made up martial art is teaching only kunoichi no jutsu?

The only kunoichi skills being taught within the US are within the Bujinkan, and Hatsumi Soke doesn't teach kunoichi skills by themselves...at least none I've ever seen outside of his wife.

Or are you studying in Nihon?

And to answer your question, there's nothing wrong with studying a legitimate martial art....but that's the key. It has to be legitimate.

I study Bujinkan Taijutsu which has three schools of ninpo within it.....but I've been studying it since long before something stupid like Naruto was even invented.

There's legit ninpo, and then there's that wannabeee hollywood and/or anime garbage that's nothing shy of blatant commercialization and exploitation preyed upon by American ignorance.

Kunoichijutsu will present advantages over some other martial arts as it was intended for the use of females. If you would quit kunoichijutsu, what art will give you what you DO want? After 30+ years experience in Japanese and Okinawan traditional system as well as American Jujutsu clones, there are many to choose from. However as an instructor who does have a Kunoichijutsu division within our organization, I can only say that you need to determine what you want and need; then find out what art or system has that to offer.

If you're so self-conscious that when a couple of immature kids say you're copying Naruto that you consider quitting, then go ahead and quit.
