Ghosts are one of those enigmas like the Bermuda Triangle and aliens. There are a lot of things out there that can not be explained by any normal means. I have a friend who spends his spare time "hunting" ghosts in our metropolitan area. He's shown me a lot of strange photos and pke meters and the like, but most of it is strictly interpretational. Things like tiny glowing orbs in photos, strange wispy clouds where there shouldn't be any, or unexplained noises on tape don't really go very far in the way of proving that ghosts are real. I have had a few anxious experiences, most of them involving fairly normal places, like hotel rooms, hospitals, nursing homes, and the like. My creepiest experience was during my time as a nurse at a managed care facility. There was one particular unit that no one liked to go into after dark. It was on the ground floor and sat a little below street level, so there were very few windows, and the unit itself had not been in use for quite a few years (budget cuts). The facility's night office was at the end of a long hallway that ran right through the middle of this same unit, and the only outside door was kept locked at night. On one rainy evening, the shift supervisor asked me to go to the office and make some copies of our nightly report. At the time, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, so I cheerfully went. I made it to the office all right, but the entire time I was there, I kept hearing strange noises out in the hallway, like shuffling feet and mumbling. I thought that one of the facility's mental patients had followed me, but in spite of a quick search, I found no one. As I was leaving the office, I called out to no one in particular that I would be locking the door behind me, just in case a patient was in there. I got almost to the main door of the unit when I heard a chair move across the floor in a nearby open room. I looked in and didn't see anything, but when I turned my back to leave, the chair moved again - toward me. Let's just say that I was not aware I had olympic potential in the sprinting category! When I reported back to my supervisor, she asked me why I was so pale and winded. When I told her that I had run the entire way back, she started laughing and said, "I guess they got you, too."

yup, i have.
It was in 1995. I was staying in a 15th floor apartment.
It was about 4.25am on a night when i was feeling down. I was counting the number of lights still on in the opposite apartment block, below are parking lots. The road was black. I saw a white cloth, (standing) moving to and fro. (like it was on rollerskates), my first time seeing such a thing. I was amazed and shocked. My dad happened to wake up and was on his way to the bathroom when he also looked out of thr window. I did not tell him anything. I was relieved, i thought that maybe my dad had seen it too. The next day, i asked him was he looking at that white spectre, he said, no, he didnt saw any, but he was looking at a cab and wondering if my sis was alighting from the cab. well, it wasn't a freaky experience for me. but, more of a emphatical experience. As the white (cloth) spectre was sliding to and fro, it was quite graceful and i can't help feeling a sadness to its pace and movement. It was a silent melancholy, and definitely harmless. I do not know what it is. I used to be a staunch Buddhist and at that time, this spectre, i will classify as a wandering ghost. Now, I am a Christian, looking back at its harmlessness, was it a guardian angel?? :-)

Believe in the supernatural. Yes, and I have had a "guardian" for some time. My sister is an angel. She passed on when she was a baby and has been by my side ever since. Protecting me, guiding me. I have seen orbs, shadow people, mists. Have made contact with someone on a spirit board as well. Not something to take lightly mind you. Very dangerous as you can bring through evil very easy.

Oh heck yeah! I am a ghost hunter and I look for such things. I will give you one example that happend to me. Me and my group were at an abandoned house. The history of the property was that the father was very abusive both physically and sexually to the children and his wife. He then killed his wife and drowned the kids in the pool in the back. Anyways, this house is known for its poltergiest activity. We had a new guy with us, a punk kid about 17 years old. He cam into the house challenging the father spirit. He called him names and cussed him out the whole 9 yards. We then decided to go dark (turn off our lights). We sat in the dark for about 15 seconds when we heard a WHOOSH, BANG!. We all turned on our lights and we saw where a rock was thrown against the wall missing the kid by 2 feet (served him right). There were no rocks in the house and there was one on the floor by where he was sitting. He never went out with us again.Check out my groups site.

Hi Minx,
Yes when my Father passed away, just only a few weeks later when i was grieving, i was alone standing at the spot where my Dad had disciplined me with a belt a about a year before, now that incident stood with me because he never had too before.
Anyway, the whole scene played in my mind and the next second, my arm, raised on it's own accord, the sensation of someone hugging me, holding my hand and soothing my mournful spirit...

Two slightly eerie experiences. 1st--I was at work, and I distinctly felt someone tap me on the shoulder. The only other person in the room was a very ill elderly woman who was bedfast, so it sure wasn't her.
2nd--I went back to bed after my boyfriend left for work. After a little while, I felt someone running their fingers through my hair. I opened my eyes, expecting to see that he had come back home for some reason but no one was there
Neither of these were exactly dramatic or scary, but after quite a few years, I still wonder about them.

Have you ever seen "White Noise"? They Say all over that movie and in the extras that it is real... ghosts and that kind of thing. I believe that they do exist. Once when it was a full moon out, i went to grab something under the bed and saw 2 glowing dots... i dont know if it was supernatural or something else... but it scared me.

I've had experiences where I wake up at night and felt someone was standing over me. I've had those little orb things fly around my room and that was freaky, but you know, none of these experiences say that they're a ghost or a spirit but I would say they were even though I have no way of prooving it.
