Before you consider surgery, I would suggest that you try Shaklee's Saw Palmetto Complex. Its blend of natural ingredients includes the finest standardized saw palmetto berry extract (85% - 95% fatty acids and sterols), pumpkin seed oil, and enriched sources of beta-sitosterols and other valuable phytosterols, which have been found to support prostate health.

Many men have had great results by using this Shaklee product (prevents & lessens BPH, decreased urinary flow, maintains proper urinary flow and enlarged prostate.)

Seeking out the highest quality product is key to see optimal results - Shaklee will provide this to you.

Treatment for Prostate Cancer

There are three methods of management -watchful waiting, local and systemic therapy. If the cancer is located in the prostate gland and considered slow growing, some doctors may recommend a conservative approach of "watchful waiting." During this time, the patient will receive no treatment, but the doctor will closely monitor the size and growth of the tumor and regularly test for elevated PSA levels.
Local treatments are used to remove, destroy, or control the cancer cells in a specific area. Surgery and radiation therapies are local treatments. Systemic treatments are used to destroy or control cancer cells all over the body. Hormone therapy is a systemic treatment.

It would depend on what your doctor thinks would be the right therapy for you. Sometimes they will just do radiation/chemotherapy to decrease the size or even kill the prostate cells. Other times they will do surgery and then do the radiation/chemo. I would really recommend talking to your doctor. Good luck!
