Unless they are public transportation, most people don't want a flying car. It seems like most people on the road today has enough trouble with two dimensions of traffic, add a third and it gets so much worse. instead of a drunk driver running a red light, they will be crashing into buildings, etc.

Robots? We have robots today, so I am assuming that you mean AI (artificial intelligence). Many people believe in "singularity", or the idea that one day humanity will create a race or some form of being that is more intelligent than themselves. At the rate technology is progressing (doubles every 18 months) this might be possible within the next hundred years, but that's iffy at best.

having flying vehicles is already possible by magenetic propulsion however the problem with this is having millions of vehicles creating pressure towards the center of the earth, somethings gotta give so I would think that would be never for fying cars. There is also the alternative to use nuclear power to power electrical turbines to lavitate the vehicles, again the idea of having millions of mini reactor capable of taking out a block each is not common sence. Robots we already have them and thanks to them 10,000 workers get laid off ever 3 years in America alone and the numbers around the world must be stagering in the hundreds of thousands. If you would just look around you would know that we are not quite like the Jetsons, but pretty much like them, execpt that the Jetsons never addressed technology and employment.

We have robots right now, but they are what the Radio shack TRS 80 is to a microsoft pentium. we'll probably have real working robots within the next thirty years or so. Sooner if you want to invent the personal robot.

Flying cars are another matter. They are still trying to get a grip on gravity. Likely another 100 years or so since we have yet to discover gravity.

I don't know. It won't be in my life time and the world may come to an end before that happens.
