I grew up in the sixties, right in the middle of the psychedelic music revolution. I lived, here, on the west coast and had access to to the local greats. I magaged to catch a few, but I will always regret that I missed Janis Joplin.

I see her on tape and my eyes well up, filled with tears. She may not have been the first artist to get me interested in blues. I was listening to Charlie Musselwhite and others long before. But to see that little firecracker of a young woman belt out a song was a very special, almost religious experience.

You go, Janis!

I actually did see them live twice, Verve, but then they split up. I just wish i'd started gigging earlier so i could have seen them more. Still the best live band i've seen by a million miles, only oasis (for the p*ss up) and Doves have even come close.

I wish I could have seen Genesis back when Peter Gabriel was still in the band. Also, I would have liked to have seen Todd Rundgren's Utopia back in the early '70's.

I really wish I'd seen Nirvana live, I was 14 when Kurt died, so I was a little too young. I saw a Nirvana laser show a couple of years after that though, that was pretty cool.

I had tickets to see Queen at Knebworth, Two days before the gig i got a perforated eardrum and it got an infection so i couldn't go. My brother took my ticket and went to the gig. The sh**house has never let me forget it since. Other than Queen I would have loved to see the Who in thier early days with that vibrancy and enthusiasm

freddie was the greatest frontman of any band of any time period.
