Actually in the televisions show "Lassie" Timmy, the boy who owned Lassie, never actually fell down any well. There was one episode involving a well but it wasn't Timmy who fell down it. It's just one of those sayings, like "Beam me up, Scotty" (Kirk never uttered that exact phrase), that has stuck in our Psyche as a nation.
