Yes, there are!

The two that come to mind are Fort DeSoto County Park in the Tampa Bay area, where you can book a site at http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/05_Ft_DeSoto.htm

The other one is Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys. You can book a site there at http://www.floridastateparks.org/bahiahonda/default.cfm

I personally recommend Fort DeSoto. They were ranked the #1 beach in the U.S. last year, Hawaii included!

Jessica.

None of the normal public beaches that I'm aware of will allow it. But, Florida DOES have beaches that are part of our national and state parks. Those beaches may allow camping\campfires.

Additionally, there are barrier islands near the everglades that are not regulated. You may be free to do so there.

Great question!

Jess,

If you're from Fort Myers, check out Cayo Costa. I'm from Fort Myers, too. Graduated from FMHS a couple of years back. Go Green Wave!

Maybe on the west coast. I've never seen a campfire on the beach in South Florida.

I am not really sure where you are in Florida (Clearwater area here), but there is a campground in the Keys that the sites are right on the water. Check out this link you can also search all the other campgrounds in Florida on here. Good Luck!

MOST BEACHES IN FLORIDA WILL LET YOU HAVE A CAMPFIRE ON THE BEACH AT NIGHT TIME. MY FAMILY DID IN EDGEWATER FLORIDA IT WAS SO COLD ON THE BEACH SO WE STARTED A CAMPFIRE AND ROASTED MARSHMALLOWS AND HOT DOGS, I LOVE IT AND I MISS IT. I LIVE IN TN AND I USE TO VISIT MY PARENTS IN FLORIDA, BUT THEY MOVED HERE NOW, SO WE HAVE CAMPFIRES HERE AND IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME.
