If it has an HD on the side of the gas tank, that is your problem. But i have heard that painting over it doesn't help...
P-)
I can't remember if the Sporster is rubber mounted, but if it is squeeking at idle it is probably the motor mounts...

If you have a access to a stethoscope listen at the primary drive cover (near clutch). There are alot of loose tolerance moving parts in the primary. It's a good place to start.

Motor mount loose, maybe? Lots of times sounds we think are coming from a mc engine are coming from bolts or parts around it. Your sound may be a horn cover or air cleaner cover, for that matter.
Rule fo thumb: "That rattle you're hearing is from the last accessory you bolted on". :-)

sure its not the shocks?? how much do you weigh, cause that could be the problem , your shocks, or your chain, or motor mounts, get it checked while its still under warrenty!!!
