If oil and gas were really as expensive as they tell us it then there profits wouldn't be as high as they are, in fact for oil companies there making more money then any company ever has. We're getting ripped off its 2 + 2 = 4. If the prices there charging were lower then they would be making more normal profits and we wouldn't be getting as ripped off, it's so obvious but why don't people belive it and do something about it, like a boyycott or something? The government isn't going to do anything, Cheney helped set it all up, and thats a fact jack.

Hey,you all forget president Bush and his family are in the oil business. The oil companies can't be spending more on getting the oil or refining it to produce the gasoline. So where are the high prices coming from? Why I think THE BIG GUY has a hand in it.Bush wants to be a billionaire when he is finished with his term. The business world also states there hasn't been a refinery built in years, so with all the profits why aren't any new ones being built. You are right the government won't do anything about it because the president is where the government starts. .Also don't forget Cheney and Bush were in the business of making money before they were elected and they still are.

OPEC sets oil prices. That's why all of leaders of the oil producing nations are multi billionaires. Every country has taxes on top of the price per barrel for oil. It's actually not as bad in the US as it is elsewhere. If you lived in Europe, you'd be paying about $6 a gallon. So be thankful for what you have and quit complaining about things our government leaders can't change.

didn't you notice that Bush was and probably still is in the oil business? How 'bout Chenney? These guys are all playing it like we have to do something to eliminate the need of oil, but are looking to drill more in the gulf and in alaska. My friend in Houston is paying $2.85 for regular, my friend in Pittsburgh is at $2.95, here's Chicago I'm paying $3.25. That would be another really good question, if someone has not asked already.
PS. I'm not a democratic either, I don't like anyone controlling my future.

I can't boycott gas or I wouldn't be able to get to work. I'm barely making my bills as it is and my biggest fear right now is being homeless. That is my next step down. I can't do that. I'll die first.
Yes, most realize but a lot are like we are.....must get to work. George Bush and his buddies have us under their thumbs and there isn't a damn thing you or I can do about it unfortunately.
