Do you have any tips on head control. My daughter is now almost nine months old. She has very low muscle tone. She can not hold her head up for more than a few seconds. She has not been diagnosed with anything. We do tummy time some, but she has a MicKey button feeding tube and it can't be comfortable to lay on. Just wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions to encourage head control. She is in physical therapy. Serious answers only please.

Just be sure that you continue with the therapy and do the exercises that they suggest for your daughter. If they haven't suggested any then ask for some ASAP. I am now 35 diagnosed with CP at 6 months and in physical therapy for most of my childhood. Those exercises were critical and my parents always encouraged me to do them whether I wanted to or not. Also you may try the Baby Einstein videos the colors and sounds are fascinating to little ones and she may try to see the tv. Above all else try to treat her as normal as possible and she will she herself that way too! I wish you all the best and keeping your daughter in my prayers!

Listen to the physical therapy personnel and do as they instruct. One thing you could do when your daughter is on her back is to hold a toy above her and see if you can get her to track the object from side to side. Also, one of the play gyms that set on the floor might catch her eye and encourage her to try to move her head. I hope everything works out.
