His music was really the best..If his life wasn't cut short I'm sure we would have had a lot of other classics by him..
His songs have been anthems for many peaceful revolutions against war and other social problems..

I like working class heroe but my favorite Lennon song is '(Just Like) Starting Over'. The song shows a lot of maturity, the music sounds so fresh. Other favorites are:
- New York City
- Nobody Loves you When You are Down and Out
- Watching the Wheels
- I'm Loosing You

Like all of Lennons songs it balances between naive toss and sublime genius.
Right now it seems like rubbish to me, but I was listening to it last week and I was suprised by how brilliant it was a couple of years since I had heard it previously.
The mark of a good song I think. When it hits the mood, it really hits
And my fav is watching the wheels, or maybe strange days, depending on my mood

Yes it is. And I particularly like the gratuitous use of the "f word" in it.
In my opnion, Lennon's best work was as part of The Beatles. And my favourite track is "A Day in the Life".

John Lennon was seriously overrated. Solo he didn't do that much, covers and poor rock n roll attempts.
Although working class hero is very good
