just wondering how can a MBA help you considering many ppl do just fine with a BS or some regular MS degree

If you want to advance in your career, a master's degree is probably necessary. It might not be the case right now, but more and more careers that require BS/BA are beginning to require MS/MA. Why not get it now and be one step ahead? It seems to me that would be easier than going back later.

I'm not sure about the MBA as opposed to a "regular" MS degree. Your master's degree should be specialized to your chosen career, although the bachelor's degree doesn't have to be (usually). If you're in business, the MBA would be the way to go. If not, a "regular" MS or MA in your particular field would do.

It depends, why do you want to do an MBA?
What do you hope to achieve and what industry are you in.Do you want a general MBA or do you want to specialize? It doesn't matter how many people are doing it, it matters why you want to do it and what you hope to achieve. Many people go to primary school, is that a reason not to go to primary school?
