How many 'true' friends can you say you have, i have many aquaintances but only one 'true' friend.

One good trusting friend is far better than a 1000 aquaintances.
You dont really know a person until youve done 3 things with them:
> Lived with them
> Had a business transaction with them
> Been on a long journey together

Reguardless of the numbers you will know a true friend better in the first five minutes of meeting than you will an "aquaintance" in a life time.

Its only when we need friends that we realise people are only there for the ride so to speak.
A true friend will stand by you through thick and thin and not question your reason even if they may think you are wrong.
We have many people who drift in and out of our lives but a true friend is there forever,even if they are not always physically by your side.

my mother used to say that u can count ur true friends on one hand, i think a true friend is someone who knows all about u but likes u any way. i know i have one true friend, hes 10 years younger then i and has been my best bud sense he was 12.cause we can work together, laugh together cry together, he knows I'm a ***** and i know hes a dog.and we still spend time with each other, and respect each others views.

One true friend that I can say anything to; many other "close" friends that I can tell some things, but not everything.
