I want to become a singer, But how do I start?

I realy like to sing. once I was singing in my back yard and someone heard me and said I qoute '' Keep singing !!!''

If you are a High School graduate you could go talk to the music department of a Community College. Some of them have good programs for singing.
Joining a choir is also worthwhile. Most of the times it is free and you will get a music education + your voice will become trained.

First, get a vocal coach to help you with singing properly as well as from the right place. The vocal training should include a couple of visits to a studio so you can get use to hearing your voice through the headphones as well as using all of the techniques she/he taught you. You should leave with you singing any song you feel is perfect for showing off you skills on a disk, this is your demo. Try and find showcases to perform at and don't be shy, be ready to sing at the drop of a dime. Establish a "My Space" account and network to find out what other singers go to get exposure or you can just e-mail me at yahoo, when you done with your vocal training I have a couple of connects if you sound as good as your neighbor says. What I would do is try singing in public like in church or at a teen hangout place. This way you get the full environment of a singer. If you want to you could try out for American Idol or some show like that. I always wanted to be a singer just like you. Just try your best and have fun!!!

2. You have to prove to everyone that you can sing well. Some of those may hire you.
