I've just taken up running/ jogging, and I've got a blood blister. I'm hesitant to pop it since I've never had one before and also it's on my heel where the skin is kinda hard. What should I do?

I don't know what you are "supposed" to do, but I can tell you what I did. I got one on my heel a couple of months ago after a 14 mile hike, and I just let it go, didn't touch it. It stopped hurting in a day or two and then deflated. It was still there, just wasn't raised and didn't hurt, but you could see the blood still under the skin. Anyway, it was there for about 2 months before the skin just came off on it's own, and now it's gone. I'm sure there's a faster way to do it, but I figured that if I popped it, it might hurt longer, and leaving it alone, the pain was gone very quickly.

Ouch! I had a blood blister a few days ago. You just have to leave it alone - keep the pressure of it, you'll be fine hun x

i had one on my toe a few days ago. well it was there for like 2 or three weeks..but i just waited like three weeks to do anything with it then i just popped it. but do what you think is right. on the heel, i would imagine that it would hurt a lot.....so pop it? but pop it before you sleep so you're off it for a while

don't pop it ..put a blister pad on it when running but take it when not running --it should go away in few weeks --if not see your Dr.

If I need to continue, with a needle, I take the liquid out and let it dry!
