That depends on what is wrong with your car and how much you travel. For example, if you sell your car, who would take you to the grocery store? You could take a taxi, but if you fixed your car, you would not have to rely on someone to take you. you should weigh your options and costs for each thing and see what is the cheapest way to go.

Depends on the car and what shape it's in, but in general it is cheaper to hold onto a car for as long as possible as opposed to buying new cars all the time. As for taking taxis, that's no solution. The bus maybe, but cabs are expensive.

if you take taxi for ever, i suggest usingyour own car
each day you use taxi=cost for your own car
eventually you'll reach that amount where fixing your car is more benefitual

Guaranteed, in the long run it will be cheaper to repair or replace your car. (Assuming you live in North America)

depends on alot of things
what does your car cost to repair, insure, and pay for fuel and maintenace
add it up

then figure out what it would cost to take a taxi
how often would you use one and what is the charge?

you should be able to figure out what each option costs you monthly or yearly

maybe you can figure out other ways to get around too
