Hold what against you, you loosy choice in women. No, honey, being divorce for the reasons you stated would not be a factor. You were a victim. I am sorry you have had your heart broken not once but twice. Alot people will proably wonder why or if you caused them to cheat on you, but cheating doesn't solve any problems they just create more. If you ain't happy, leave, simply pack the duds and go. I hope a good woman looks pass your past and gives you a chance to earn her trust and love. My friend is going on her 3 divorce, 2 physical abusive husbands and the other one was emotional, I hope noone looks at her track record either, she stayed 8 years with the last one, because a "3 time loser". I told her wasn't a loser, she was a 3 time survivor!
So, consider yourself a 2 time survivor, hopefully 3 times for you will be the charm! Good luck....God bless us all.....

Actually I find that a divorced person is better to date. Of course I have also been divorced twice. I do not want to date someone who has never been married because they could never relate to my situation.
How old are you? If you are young people may be afraid that you cannot keep a commitment. If you are dating women younger than yourself you may want to find someone closer in age.
Your being divorced twice will probably cause a woman to think twice before getting serious with you, but by giving a logical explanation and showing her what a good person you really are you should be able to convince a woman that you are worth the effort to get to know.

Yes, you can hold against a person the history of making bad choices. Marriage that ends in divorce is a poor choice, generally speaking - and you were one of the two parties making that choice.
However, nowadays it's so common to see divorced people, I don't feel it carries some huge social stigma. If I was dating a person, I would take his history into account, but would not make it a deciding factor.

Sounds to me like some chic is baggin you for being married twice and both of them failing....If you had bad marriages and you actually tried to salvage them and you just couldnt do it then there is not anything wrong with you. If whoever this girl is that is doing this is so shallow that she wont give you a chance then tell her to piss off...Honestly it does raise an eyebrow when you hear of someone who has been married multiple times and it never worked but you would be being stereo typed that you are just a bad guy. They should want to hear the circumstances behind the situation to be able to form a true opinion on the subject....there are worse things out there...like..AIDS...War, homeless people...starving people...etc than to waste time on dumb s h i t like how many times someone has walked down the isle..tell her to get a clue...

When I was dating in my early twenties (I'm now 28), I dated many men that were divorced and in their thirties. It bothered me because I couldn't consider them for marriage due to the fact that they'd already done it. I wanted to get married to someone who also hadn't been married before - so for me, it was a huge factor. I didn't mind dating them but there was no commitment on my end. My husband and I have now been married a year and neither of us were previously married - it really made the wedding day special.

I wouldn't hold it against any person... but it does play a HUGE role in what, how and where you go with your next relationship because there has to be levels of healing.... and watch out for the comparisons that start if the person you date triggers something of your ex. That is huge on both sides of your dating relationship... and how you will work it through with that person.

There could be many reasons for divorce, and many circumstances surrounding divorce. To close off all possibilities, without learning more, is perhaps NOT reasonable.

Divorce happens to the best of us and people should not judge others for that. If they do, they are not the right person for you.

Everyone deserves a second chance. For me, that's where the "taking time to get to know you come in" so that I can get to know you better. I think that it depends on why you were divorced.

No I wouldn't.
I'm currently divorcing my husband because of Domestic Violence.
Thats hardly my fault is it!
I don't think people do hold it against you, they may be weary but once they get to know you they'll be fine.
3rd time lucky so they say!
