Is it possible to have an obstruction in the fallopian tubes or something? OK here's the deal. My sis had her period at the end of June. It normally lasts the entire 7 days. On the third day she had an enormous amount of bleeding and clots. (to the point of making a mess out of the bathroom just 5 minutes after changing) Then it just stopped shortly after. In 3 weeks, (she usually gets her period every 3 weeks) she had 2 days of cramping and light spotting. Now nothing since but has had cramps on and off for the past 2 weeks, sometimes severe. She has a gyne appt. on Monday but I can't think of what could cause this. Would this be considered as an emergency, should she go to the hospital if she has bad cramps again or is it ok to wait until Monday's appt.?

It is possible, but there's no way to know for sure if it's an ectopic pregnancy, infection or salpingitis, tubal occlusion, Endometriosis or something else totally unrelated without having the proper diagnostic tests. Once diagnosed, the treatment (if any) will be rendered based on the outcome of the diagnosis. As for a visit to the ER, I would say any debilitating pain accompanied by fever or other crippling symptoms would be worth the trip. Otherwise, in manageable, she can wait till her appt. Good luck to her.

she could have cysts, polyps, hormone imbalance- anything
Don't get too riled until you hear from the doctor- the stress will not help her at all.
