Maybe it just needs to have Freon added. My car was doing the same thing, so I went to Jiffy Lube where they charged something like $49 to check for leaks. Then they added Freon (and charged for the cost of that).

Can't say what wrong for sure, but obviously it's broke. So, it could be as simple as needing a recharge, probably around $150-$200. If you need a new dryer, add another couple of hundred to that. If you need a new compressor, add around $500 to that.

it depends on whats really wrong...it could mean you are low on freon or your compressoe might be broke...if so...this service will cost you a pretty penny...i think you should go to an auto shop that do that kind of services get the to give you a ac check and then go from there

Could be a thermostat not working correctly. You'll have to get estimates and a diagnosis from a good mechanic where you live.

Freon go ahead and have them check for leaks. There is no point in putting freon in, if it's going to leak out.

YOU PROBABLY NEED MORE FREE-ON OR YOUR SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE RECHARGED. IT DEPENDS ON IF YOUHAVE SOMEONE THAT CAN DO THE WORK FOR YOU OR NOT BUT I WOULD TAKE IT TO AN A/C SHOP NOT MITS THEY WILL CHRGE YOU UP THE CRACK! GOOD LUCK

sounds like it needs to be recharged. some shops do it around 100-200 dollars.
