This is what I would do
Cut the pants with the outsides longer then try them on, see how it looks and if you like it. If you dont like the way it looks then you can cut them even and no damage is done.

Make it even all the way around... unless you have a pair of capri pants that you already wear that fit you perfect that have an uneven hem, then try to mirrow that, otherwise shoot for even

Either make them even, or cut them at a steep angle so it SHOWS it was done intentionally- rather than poor workmanship if you do it only a little bit

Always even. If you don't, you are going to look like you just got tired and decided to stop.
Although I'm sure they will look good, be sure to get them even.
